This new edition of For Better and For Ever is getting wonderful reviews from sponsor couples, when it is used correctly.  We know from experience that when folks who have been using the "old" (1989) edition of For Better and For Ever try to use the new materials in the same way they used the old materials there is no way to adequately cover all the material.  That is why the training materials (videos & text on the web site) are so important.  The two most critical changes needed for properly using the new edition of For Better and For Ever are:

1) Establish a process for getting the books into the hands of the engaged couples and doing their homework BEFORE they meet with the pastor….  

2) Train the sponsor couples how to make sure that the engaged couple does their homework BEFORE coming to the home of the sponsor couple....
