Marriage Preparation Resources

In 1975, For Better and For Ever was designed to help local churches provide quality Christian marriage preparation for engaged couple. Since 1996, Marriage Preparation Resources has been an on-line resource for dating/engaged couples, churches and marriage educators.

What do we do? We teach what Christian marriage is and the skills needed for it. We also teach the skills for lifelong marriage to couples who ~ though they may not profess the Christian faith ~ share the conviction that marriage is best for couples and families when it is viewed as a lifelong commitment (rather than a commitment in which divorce is always an option).

Whom do we assist? We assist couples considering Christian marriage or Covenant marriage. We also assist clergy, marriage educators and “sponsor/mentor couples” who help couples prepare for Christian marriage and Covenant marriage.

What are our services?

We respond to all questions sent to us by e-mail, phone or letter.
Our web site provides information (FAQs) and links to additional information.
Our marriage preparation program, For Better and For Ever, is available to couples, pastors, churches and bookstores (see the Order Form on our web site). The Catholic edition is available in English & Spanish, the Christian edition and the Covenant editions are currently available only in English.
Our Training videos/DVDs can assist with training “sponsor couples” and setting up the program in your church.
Our Resource Team can come to your church to train “sponsor/mentor couples” and set up our marriage preparation program, at our expense if necessary.
